Les Grandes Tables du Monde in Athens: thinking, celebrating, transmitting
From Sunday, October 12 to Wednesday, October 15, 2025
A conference dedicated to light and the future
From October 12 to 15, 2025, members of Les Grandes Tables du Monde will gather in Athens for their major annual event. Three suspended days of encounters, reflections, and moments of grace, in a city where the word “origin” takes on its full meaning. Between the sea and ancient temples, the 2025 Congress promises to celebrate gastronomy as a living art, one of sharing, transmission, and audacity.
A community in motionChefs, sommeliers, maîtres d’hôtel, pastry chefs, artisans, partners: all united by the same desire: to make the table a place of beauty and humanity. In Athens, this community will take the time to reflect together on what it means to “be a Grande Table today”: how to continue to invent without betraying oneself, to welcome without repeating oneself, to shine without losing oneself. Between visionaries, thinkers, and professionals, the exchanges will give rise to ideas, connections, and desires for the future.
Unique Events
Every moment of the Congress will be designed as an experience. An opening under the Greek stars, a lunch celebrating the land and local producers, an inspiring roundtable discussion, caviar and portarga experiences by Kaviari, cheese and puff pastry by Bridor, and, to conclude these eventful days, a gala dinner on the shores of the Aegean Sea.
That evening, the Grandes Tables community will pay tribute to the talents who make contemporary gastronomy shine: five awards will recognize creativity, transmission, and excellence in all their forms. The menu, created by Arnaud Bignon (Spondi), Marcel Ravin (Blue Bay), Paulo Airaudo (Amelia), and Hans Neuner (Ocean), promises a total celebration of the Mediterranean, from its roots to its horizons.
Athens, Symbol and MomentumA place of memory and rebirth, Athens will provide a meaningful setting for this forward-looking Congress. Because behind each gathering of the Grandes Tables du Monde, there is more than a program: a collective desire to reflect, evolve, and pass on knowledge. Under the Greek light, the community will pursue its mission: to think together about the gastronomy of tomorrow, luminous, free, and human.
