The association Les Grandes Tables du Monde welcomes 10 new members in 2023

On Monday, January 30th 2023, Les Grandes Tables Du Monde gathered with its members in the Salons Historiques of the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris for a cocktail party organised by Chef Quentin Testart and his teams to unveil the Association’s 2023 Guide and introduce its newest members: 10 this year, including 7 abroad.

For its 68th Annual Congress, the association Les Grandes Tables Du Monde celebrates a gastronomic experience always in movement

The 68th Annual Congress of Les Grandes Tables du Monde was held in Salzburg, Austria, from October 16th to 18th 2022. The association celebrated 4 personalities who contribute, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, to pushing the boundaries of the gastronomic experience around the world. The event held in Austria was also an opportunity to award an honorary prize to a famous name in Austrian cuisine, who has contributed to its success beyond the country’s borders and who initiated, 20 years ago in Salzburg, a project that is now revolutionising the way we think about restaurants, beyond the dining room walls, into an always moving experience.

ETHICAL CHARTER

Four months of work to clearly outline the meaningful commitments and values of social responsibility that drive the Association: not only respect for the environment and raw materials, but also friendship, elegance and transmission
Focus on the Association’s ethical charter, which was drawn up by Sylvie Buhagiar and Sang-Hoon Degeimbre.

New members 2022

With these inductions, the Association once again reiterates its lofty ambition to advocate for a rich, festive and above all generous contemporary gastronomy.
We will be delighted to officially welcome these new members at the launch of our 2022 Guide, on Monday, March 7th in Paris.

2021 Prizes

On Monday, November 22nd 2021, the association Les Grandes Tables Du Monde unveiled the list of 2021 winners for its excellence awards. This year, 4 winners received prizes during the ceremony held in the auditorium of the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac.
For its annual General Assembly, the association decided to meet with optimism and passion in Paris to celebrate its reunion after almost two years of pandemic.
Sustainable development, respectful management, media influence, inclusion, training, transmission, etc. were some of the many topics discussed between peers to reiterate how much hospitality and excellence remain at the core of the association’s and its members’ mission, and highlight their forward-looking, audacious and modern spirit!

2021 greeting card

For a new start in 2021...
All our wishes accompany each member of our beautiful association.
In 2021, let us make this quote from Jean Cocteau our own:
"To be is to be there.
To live is to enjoy being there."

Dear Friends,

We had been expecting it for a few days without really believing it: France is reconfining itself.
This historic pandemic is shaking up our lives personally, professionally and socially.
And of course the life of our restaurants, our Grandes Tables.
Now is the time for solidarity, respect and commitment to health and safety, while we await for better days.

Dear friends,

When many European countries are restricting restaurant hours or even closing them as in Belgium, we would like with my fellow members of the board to say how much we care about the dire situation many of our members are faced with. We’re also thinking of all restaurateurs who have to deal with this enormous and unprecedented challenges. We would also have in mind our Customers who keep showing us so much support, demonstrating the strength of fine dining. We’re left optimistic about our future and we keep faith to face this uncertain times.
